working out what life and call and prayer and silence are all about

About Kara

I’m a mother, a pastor, a runner, a yoga instructor, and a singer.

I’m a lover of silence, and a seeker of the Holy One. I look for beauty everywhere.

I’m more comfortable on the edges of the Church, and am fascinated by the way we’re all resisting the tsunami of change that’s coming to renew the face of the earth. I’d rather be out in the world, following Jesus by loving God’s children, than inside arguing about what color the carpet should be.

I’ve spent too much of my life trying to get things right. And I think I’m finally learning that’s not the point. Maybe if I just pay attention to what’s right in front of me, I’ll discover grace and beauty and love overflowing. Just maybe.

We miss your warm smile, your welcoming presence, your keen intuition, and your inspiring sermons at TLU. But most of all, we miss the light that you bring in our lives, your lost sheep … we miss you dearly.
